Ghost station Munich Olympiastadion

M√ľnchen Olympiastadion is a former stop on the Munich S-Bahn. The station was built in the early 1970s and opened on May 26, 1972 to provide additional means of transportation for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Today, it has fallen into disuse and the tracks leading to the station have been removed.

The station saw use during the 1972 Olympics, but was disconnected from the regular service network after the Olympic games ended. The station saw sporadic use at first during football matches in the nearby Olympic Stadium, and from August 8, 1984 S8 and S11 services called at the station when football matches were happening in the stadium.
