This sculpture by George Wyllie (2004) is titled "ΜΗΤΡΟΤΗΤΑ" (Μητροτητα is a Greek word meaning "Maternity"). It stands in Rottenrow Gardens, which are named after the Royal Maternity Hospital ("Rottenrow") which stood near here, serving Glasgow from 1860 to 2001.
