Gladyne Kenderine Mitchell is the daughter of San Francisco drugstore owner Mitchel L. Mitchell who died in 1987 leaving the home to his daughter. Mitchell purchased the home in 1944 for $93,000 from the original owner, industrialist Milton Ray.
