Glass tower of the Cabo Branco Centre of Science, Culture and Arts

Located in the Altiplano district in João Pessoa, capital of the state Brazilian of Paraíba, the Cabo Branco Centre of Science, Culture and Arts was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and inaugurated on 3 July of 2008 by then-Mayor Ricardo Coutinho Vieira. The complex consists of five standalone buildings, among them an octagonal tower, an amphitheater and an auditorium.

The glass tower is 43 meters wide on the top and stands on a cylindrical wall of 15 meters in diameter in a round pond.
