GMC Envoy XUV

GMC Envoy XUV

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA), US
Produced from the 2004 to the 2005 model years, the GMC Envoy XUV combines qualities of both SUVs and pickup trucks, but allowing the cargo bed to be enclosed without the use of an attachable cab cover provides what appears to be an extended wheelbase Envoy an advantage over trucks like the Chevrolet Avalanche. One of its trademark features is the MidGate, which is divide between the passenger and the waterproof cargo areas, derived from the TerraCross concept from 2001. Its roof is also retractable, which is a nod to the Studebaker Wagonaire produced shortly before the South Bend manufacturer's demise in 1967. However, the side glass is fragile and the cargo bed is shorter compared to other trucks.
