A nice and quiet neighbourhood in New Smyrna Beach lies this isolated grave in the middle of the road. The grave belongs to Charles Dummett, who died at the spot in a tragic hunting accident at the age of 16 in 1860.
At the time of the burial, he would have been surrounded by a forest, but later that forest would become a neighbourhood area. The grave is looked after by a local gardening group.
