Brakovich became president of Integrated Resources New York, one of the leading providers of insurance and mutual fund products, in 1986; in 1992 he moved to Fidelity, which he turned into a market leader in mutual fund products. Brakovich became co-CEO of MetLife in 2000. He serves on the Board of Councilors for the USC College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and is chairman of the USC College Board of Advisors for Orange County, which he founded in 2001. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for the USC Catholic Center.
