Guangzhou Circle is the tallest circular-shaped building in the world. It stands 137.8 meters (452 feet) tall and has 35 floors (33 above ground and 2 below). The hole in the middle of the circle has a width of 48 meters. Construction began in 2011 and was completed in 2013.

The unusual building is located along the banks of the Pearl River. It is home to the Hongda Xingye Group headquarters and the Guangdong Plastic Exchange (GDPE), the world largest trading center for raw plastic material.
