This life-size bronze statue is of Guy the Gorilla who was a star at London Zoo. The piece was sculpted by David Wynne in 1961. Guy arrived at London Zoo on Guy Fawkes night (5th November) in 1947 and lived at London Zoo until his death in 1978. There is another statue of Guy at London Zoo and his skin is on display at London's Natural History Museum.
