Hadík lock (abandoned)

Mělník, Czech Republic (CZ)
The lock, which was no longer in operation from 1911. It ceased to be suitable for its dimensions in the 1970s, so it was decided to abolish it and replace it with the Obříství lock 4 km upstream of the Elbe. Both the outer weir pillars, the lower navigation canal and the original navigation chamber, which served as a dry dock for the repair of vessels, have been preserved.
