Hadrian's Gate

Hadrian's Gate is a Roman structure located in the city of Antalya in Turkey. It is a triumphal arch built in the name of the Roman emperor Hadrian who visited the city in 130. The structure has three arched gates, two towers on either side, but the towers are presumed to have been built later.

The tower on the southern side is known as "Julia Sancta" and is dated to be from Hadrian's time. The tower is constructed of plain stone bricks. The other tower on the northern side remains from the Seljuk period (a Sunni Muslim state established in Turkey).
