Harry Caray (March 1, 1914 – February 18, 1998) was a legendary baseball broadcaster. He began his broadcasting career with the St. Louis Cardinals from 1945-69. He would also work with the Oakland Athletics (1970), Chicago White Sox (1971-81), and the Chicago Cubs (1982-97).
This sculpture is on display at the entrance of one of the steakhouse restaurants that bear his name in the Chicago area.
On the opposite wall from the statue is a small display case containing a pair of Caray's trademark eyeglasses.
