Haunted Mansion of Jasper County (Birds Eye)
This house was moved on 2/19/2013 to a new location 6 miles away. This allegedly haunted Italianate mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places, with 2,640 square feet and a two-story porch, sat vacant for more than two years before a Des Moines native now living six hours south in Missouri stepped forward to claim it.

Known as Maple Grove Hill, the house has been credited as a stop on the Underground Railroad, although no evidence of a tunnel was discovered during removal.
