On Thursday 8th September 2022, Eric VA2EO/W2, a radio amateur from Drummondville, QC reached the summit of Haystack: Mount and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 16 contacts in total working on the 40, 20, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Haystack: Mount is 1512 metres (4961 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
