On 18h June 2022 Patrick KJ7NOZ a radio amateur from Arizona reached the summit of Hickey Mountain and activated the summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Patrick made contacts on the 17, 20 and 40 metre amateur radio bands.
The summit of Hickey Mountain is 2322 metres (7618 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 point on the SOTA groups data base.
