This Ficus Mysorensis is believed to between 80 to 200 years old, and is the largest on the island of Palm Beach. The rare tree is beleived to have been planted in 1894 when Henry Flagler built the Royal Poinciana Hotel. The 50 foot tree was almost uprooted in 1987 by a developer but was denied by the city of Palm Beach.
