On Tuesday 2nd August 2022 Paul K9PM/P a radio amateur from Box Elder, SD reached the summit of Hochderffer and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 37 contacts in total working on the 60, 40, 30, 20, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
