Home of Exorcist Boy (Birds Eye)
This house on Roanoke Drive in Bel-Nor, Missouri belonged to the uncle of a 13 year old boy from Cottage City, Maryland. The boy was brought to this house in early 1949. Priests from St. Francis Xavier Church determined he was possessed and an exorcism was performed at the home, the church's rectory and later at Alexian Brothers Hospital. This was the basis for William Peter Blatty's "The Exorcist".
