Son's house is shiny and light, Mother's house is darker and corroded.

This is the 3rd iteration of the piece. Students from GA Tech created the first set in 1986 under Hejduk's guidance. The second version was created in wood by Hejduk in 1991 at the invitation of Václav Havel in Prague but they were dismantled in 2000 due to deterioration. After a lengthy campaign, these permanent structures were created.
