The IceoPlex at Southpointe has been a practice facility for the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins since it opened on May 20, 1995. It serves as the home rink for Washington & Jefferson College and various youth leagues.

Along with an ice rink, the facility includes another rink which is used for indoor soccer and lacrosse on an artificial turf surface in the fall and winter. In the spring and summer, the second rink is used for roller hockey, basketball, and volleyball.
