The 800A was the second in the 800-series of the International Harvester Scout off-road SUV, produced from November of 1968 to 1970. These were recognized by advances in its drivetrain and the revised front-end including matte black headlight bezels that were not present on the later 800B, and its bodywork would make it into the first D-Series (Light Line) pickup trucks. While I4 and V8 engines were widely available in the 800A, the 232 Inline-6 was short-lived in this generation, only being available starting in early 1969.
