Jazz Jennings' House

Jazz Jennings lives here in south Florida with her parents and siblings. She has 2 older twin brothers and a sister. Jennings is a teenager who is one of the youngest people to be documented as gender dysphoric, or transgender. She is known for being openly transgender, a YouTube personality, spokesperson, LBGT rights activist, and tv personality. Jazz is one of the youngest individuals to become a national transgender figure.

Jennings was born a male on October 6, 2000 to her parents Greg and Jeanette. She was originally named Jaron Bloshinsky but took on the name Jazz and a pseudonym last name to protect herself and family. At the innocent age of just 2, Jennings asked her mother, "Mommy, when is the good fairy going to come with her magic wand and give me a vagina?" It was clear to her parents then that this was most likely not just a "phase." They allowed their son to dress up as a girl at ho,e, but outside he was to dress gender neutral. Until his 5th birthday. A dance recital where he could not wear his tutu like all the other female Danvers broke his heart and his parents. So at his 5th birthday pool party, his mom told him to go wear his one piece bathing suit and announced there that Jazz was their daughter.

Since then, they've let her truly become a girl by wearing what she chose in public, growing out her hair, and eventually having a doctor prescribe her estrogen to keep her features softer and delay puberty. Jennings went for gender reassignment surgery in June of 2018, which had complications but was successful.

It was in a 2007 interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20 that Jennings quickly became a national advocate for transgender youth. In July 2015, she began starring in a reality show, 'I Am Jazz' on TLC, focusing on her life as a transgender youth, and is currently in its 5th season. Jennings earns $10,000-$15,000 per episode and is estimated to have a $450 thousand net worth.

Jennings has also come out with an autobiography entitled, "I am Jazz." She has also started TransKids Purple Rainbow Foundation to assist youth, and Purple Rainbow Tails to raise money for transgender youth.

Jennings has stated she is pansexual but has been dating men as of recent. She is hopeful to become a mother and have a family of her own one day.
