Jeanne de Rothschild, daughter of Edward James de Rothschild and Theresa Laura Rothschild built this estate known as Château de Montvillargenne. Following Jeanne's death in 1929, the estate was left abandoned for 10 years. During World War II, the estate was occupied by the Germans.
