Jeffrey Epstein's House (Little Saint James Island) | Stephen Deckoff

Little St James, Virgin Islands, U.S. (VI)
Jeffrey Epstein was a financial consultant and friend to many celebrities and politicians, but he was also a convicted sex offender who committed suicide in his jail cell on August 10, 2019 while awaiting trial on further sexual assault charges. He was highly connected to the uber rich and famous, including Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Prince Andrew of Great Britain, and many more.

Jeffrey Edward Epstein was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 20, 1953. He went into the financial services industry after trying his hand as a teacher, eventually founding his own firm that dealt with a super-rich and famous clientele. It’s hard to understand how Epstein rose to the level of success he achieved in life, being worth more than $500 million at the time of his death.

Over the years, Epstein has been closely linked to several massive investment scandals involving massive amounts of money. In spite of claiming an extremely elite clientele, it was often unclear who invested with him, or how much they invested.

In 2005, a teenager made substantiated allegations against Epstein, which led to a 13 month investigation and charges involving more than 60 girls and young women. Despite a multitude of evidence, Epstein was given a “sweetheart sentence” that elicited significant outrage on the part of the victims when it came to light. Even after he served his light sentence, he was given breaks rarely if ever extended to a sex offender.

In July 2019, Epstein was once again indicted, this time for sex trafficking charges. He was housed at the New York City Metropolitan Correctional Center while he awaited trial. This time, it did not seem he would catch the same breaks as he had in the past. After being denied bail, and investigators finding thousands of pieces of evidence against him, Epstein was found dead in his cell on August 19, 2019 of an apparent suicide. However, his attorneys and many in the public dispute this claim, saying he would not have killed himself and that well-connected people who were worried Epstein would expose their misdeeds had him executed.

Epstein had several residences, many of which are listed on this website.

Possibly the estate most infamous among Epstein’s exploits is St. James Island, the private island Epstein bought in 1998 in the US Virgin Islands. He paid about $8 million for it, and in 2020, it was estimated to be worth $64 million. According to many substantiated reports, constantly held parties with underage girls and unwilling participants, in addition to many wealthy and famous individuals. People believe this was Epstein's primary residence.

Epstein would fly the passengers to the St. Thomas airport on one of his two private Gulfstream airplanes. From there, he would take a helicopter to his private island.

The island has a temple-like structure, life-size replica cows, and a main house. The main house has a large outdoor pool, a cinema, library, detached boathouse and cabanas for guests. It also has large American flags flying at either end of the island. Not much more is substantiated about the island, but as people continue to investigate perhaps more will be revealed.

As part of a cruise excursion in 2012, we stopped to snorkel in the waters by this island. The tour operator mentioned that it was owned by a rich American, but didn't mention his name. If we'd known it was his, we would have requested that we move to another spot. What a disgusting waste of skin that man was.
