The late star of such films as "Grand Hotel", and his wife, silent-film actress Dolores Costello, bought the house in 1938, but divorced soon after, and never moved in. Nevertheless the 6,300 square foot home, which was built in 1918 has a worn-in grandeur that speaks of old Hollywood. It is currently on the market.
