The legendary rock & roll bass guitarist, known for being a member of both Fleetwood Mac and the Bluesbreakers, has quietly purchased the famous "Raymond Chandler house" in Brentwood. He paid just over $2.5M for the property in October 2014.
Raymond Chandler was a prolific novelist and screenwriter, known for writing mystery thriller novels, such as "The Big Sleep", "Farewell, My Lovely", "The Little Sister", "The Long Goodbye", and "Double Indemnity". Although the house is named in honor of him, it is believed that he never actually owned it, but rather rented it for a short period of time.
McVie also owns another home near West Hollywood, although his main residence is believed to be in Hawaii.
