John C. Textor is the former Chairman and CEO of Digital Domain, a visual effects and animation company that was co-founded by Titanic and Avatar director James Cameron. It produced digital effects for a number of films including Apollo 13, Titanic, Armageddon, Avatar, X-Men, I,Robot, and Transformers. It also produced the 3D holligram of rapper Tupac Shakur that made headlines when it appeared at the Coachella music festival is California. Textor resigned in 2012 after the company announced bankruptcy. This sparked controversy as the company received government incentives to re-locate to Port St. Lucie, FL.
