In his May-June campaign finance disclosures, Donald Trump included $35,000 in payments to a mystery company called Draper Sterling, an obvious reference to the TV show 'Mad Men'.
Research has shown that the owner of the company is Jon Adkins, who appears to have no background in politics or advertising, but rather health sales.
Shortly after the release of the finance disclosures, Adkins deleted his LinkedIn account and shut down his medical instrumentation company, XenoTheraputics. When reporters showed up to his house, which was listed as the headquarters of Draper Sterling's corporate filings, his mother-in-law said he, his wife, and children had all left.
Thus far, reporters and investigators are unclear as to the nature of this company and why the Trump campaign would be making payments to them, but many have pointed out that Trump's recently fired campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, lives only 15 minutes away.
