Molot is a Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center and a leading expert on litigation finance. A former senior US government official and experienced litigator, he founded Litigation Risk Solutions, LLC, a business that assists hedge funds, private equity funds, investment banks, insurance companies and insurance brokers to develop litigation risk transfers where lawsuits threaten to interfere with M&A and private equity deals.

Mr. Molot served as counsel to the economic policy team on the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Team and as a senior advisor in the Treasury Department at the start of the Obama Administration. He clerked for Supreme Court Justice Breyer and practiced law at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York, and at Kellogg, Huber, Hansen, Todd, Evans & Figel in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Molot graduated magna cum laude from Yale College and magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was Articles Co-Chair of the Harvard Law Review and won the Sears Prize, awarded to the two top-performing students in a class of over 500.
He lives in Washington DC in an 8,400 sq ft home.
