On Tuesday 9th August a group of radio amateurs from Poland reached the summit of Kékes and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 90 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit Kékes is 1011 metres (3317 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
