On Saturday 30th July 2022 Toru JA1CTV/1 a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Kannongadake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 20 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
