On Saturday 15th October 2022, Toru JA1CTV/1, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Karamatsuoyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 17 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
