Kendrum Viaduct

Kendrum Viaduct

Lochearnhead, United Kingdom (GB)
Kendrum Viaduct was a railway viaduct on the Strathearn Railway in Scotland. The viaduct is located between Lochearnhead and Balquhidder. This impressive viaduct was a 7 arched viaduct with a central steel girder span. The viaduct crosses the river Kendrum.

What's left today:
When the railway closed the central steel girder span was removed, but the rest of the viadcut remained. After the viaduct the railway would cross the road via a bridge just outside Balquhidder Station, but this bridge has been demolished since the road was made wider.

However, Kendrum Viaduct is now being used as part of a foot and cycle path following the old railway outside Lochearnhead. The central steel girder span has been replaced with a more modern one.
