Killer Piano at the Condor

Killer Piano at the Condor

San Francisco, California (CA), US
An infamous bar on the Broadway Strip, the historic Condor Club broke sexual boundaries when it became known as the world’s first topless bar in 1964.

On November 23, 1983, after closing, Jimmy Ferrozzo, a bouncer, was with his girlfriend, Theresa Hill, on top of the piano when the lift was accidentally activated. Mr. Ferrozzo was asphyxiated, but Ms. Hill survived, pinned beneath him. A janitor found her at 7 a.m., and emergency workers freed her three hours later.
