1936
with assistance by Albert Koch Jr (of TechBuilt Houses fame) who was working with Stone at the time. Jr later inherited the house but it now looks like someone capped it with a mansard/hip roof.
My understanding is that Koch himself added the Mansard style roof to the building. It is worth noting that he was known as a firm believer in progress and the Conantum community that he designed and founded in Concord, MA has a long and early tradition of owner additions and improvements to the many homes in the community.
A horrible renovation to a historic modern home designed in 1936 that predates Walter Gropius's home in Lincoln, done in conjunction with Marcel Breuer, and Philip Johnson's home in Cambridge. Whatever client and architect were involved with this project were complete imbeciles.
