Ludwig van Beethoven (died March 26. 1827) and Franz Schubert (November 19. 1828) were originally buried in the cemetery of the village of Währing, today a suburb of Vienna. Today the former cemetery is called Schubert Park.

1863 Beethovens remains and 1888 Schuberts remains were exhumed and interred in the Vienna Central Cemetery (Zentralfriedhof) in a honorary graves.
