Several classes of stock cars have raced on this 1/2 mile paved oval track. The track opened as a dirt track in 1974 and was paved in 1988. It has previously gone by the names Columbia Motorsports Park, Columbia County Speedway, North Florida Raceway, and Gateway National Raceway Park.

As of April 2012, the track does not have plans to operate in 2012.
