This dry lake will be the site of an attempted Land Speed Record of 1,000 mph / 1,600 kph. Andy Green will pilot the Bloodhound SSC.

Imagery shows a 6.3 km long track on the northeast corner.

Info at attached link mentions a 12 mile / 19 kilometer long track for the run. Likely to be situated in the central section running NW/SE.
