The Yūshio was a Japanese diesel-electric submarine class operated by the JMSDF. When it is the second generation, expansion development type of Uzushio class submarineof the teardrop type submarine that values the underwater performance following the Uzushio class submarine. Ten was built with the fourth defense plan in 1975 fiscal year. Training submarine Yukishio,retired on March 7, 2008. All warships did the retirement completion to the Yūshio class submarine.
