Laurent Hechmati is an inventor who developed a type of insulating sleeves for beverage and food containers.

Developer Ty Cueva of Westside Property Group has built a 40,000 sqft spec home on the site of Hechmati's former home. The home, described as "modern Spanish villa", has 8 bedrooms and 21 bathrooms, an indoor basketball court, recording studio, wine cellar with tasting room, full-service salon, spa with sauna, gym, movie theatre, service kitchen, a security room next to the car gallery, six wet-bars, and two swimming pools.
