The Leatherslade Farm was the purchased location where the gang hid out after The Great Train Robbery. The police were tipped off by a local herdsman from an adjacent field. The police, including Scotland Yard found critical evidence, including post-office sacks, mail packages and banknote wrappers at the farm which led to the arrest of most in the gang.
