On Monday 11th July 2022 Tom WX4TW a radio amateur from Hendersonville, NC reached the summit of Little Bald Knob and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 12 contacts in total working on the 40 and 15 metre VHF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Little Bald Knob is 1359 metres (4459 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
