The LNER Class 801 ‘Azuma’ was first introduced by LNER on the East Coast Main Line as a replacement for the BREL/GEC-Alstrom Intercity 225 on 16 September2019

Here on Street View in August 2021 is 9 car Class 801/2 ‘Azuma’ which has a top speed of 140 mph. The Class 801 is an electrical multiple unit (EMU) built by the Japanese company Hitachi at its Kasado Works in Japan and North East England at Newton Aycliffe.
