This is one of the locks on the Llangollen Canal which is known as Grindley Brook Lock No. 1.

The 44 mile (72km) long Llangollen Canal links Llangollen in Wales with Hurleston in the unitary authority of Cheshire East, in the ceremonial county of Cheshire, in England. At Hurleston there is a junction with the Shropshire Union Canal.

Here on Street View in August a narrowboat, pleasure-craft, is seen existing Lock 19 .
