Lock 41 - Trent & Mersey Canal

This is one of the locks on the Trent & Mersey canal which is known as Plants Lock or Red Bull Top Lock.

The 93 mile (150km) long Trent & Mersey canal links the rivers Mersey and Trent and to provide inland waterway route linking the ports of Liverpool and Hull.

The rise on this lock is 9 feet (2.82m).

This lock is few yards in front of The Canal Tavern public house and a fw yards from the Hardingswood Bridge No. 133 is a few yards away to the west. This bridge carries a minor road over the canal.
