The Lockheed Jetstar is a private jet built in the 1960s and the 1970s. It didn't find much use with its target audience, the United States Air Force, but it did find a civilian market. It was used by both private owners and airlines such as Air Algerie.
This is the first Jetstar, with the c/n 1001 and registered N329J. It first flew on September 4, 1957, and stayed with Lockheed until being donated as a ground trainer in 1980. In 2004, it was acquired by the Museum of Flight and is currently being restored for display in the main museum.
