Lord Nelson Statue

This life-size statue of Lord Nelson, by Thomas Milnes, is located in the grounds of Norwich Cathedral. The statue, created in 1847 is carved from Portland stone - a poor choice as the statue has deteriorated and weather badly. The statue was initially installed near Norwich's Guildhall and was moved to its current location in 1856. It now faces the grammar school that Nelson attended as a boy.
