Louis Tomlinson is an English pop singer-songwriter, who is a member of the boy band One Direction.

Tomlinson began his career as an actor, initially appearing in ITV drama Fat Friends as an extra. He also went on to appear in another ITV drama film If I Had You and the BBC drama Waterloo Road. His performance in the role of Danny Zuko in the Hall Cross musical production of Grease motivated him to audition for The X Factor, where he teamed up with Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles to form a five-piece boy band, thus qualifying for the "Groups" category and creating One Direction.

Tomlinson has been a fan his whole life. After the deal was announced, efforts to raise enough cash utilizing the Crowdfunder.co.uk website fell through, and the status of Tomlinson's takeover was put in doubt due to the English Football Authority's 'fit and proper' person rules. Even still, the club signed Tomlinson on a non-contract basis for the 2013-14 season as a development player to boost support for their chosen charity, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. He was given the squad number 28. Tomlinson captained the team white football kit to take to the pitch in a charity Doncaster Legends game in 2015.

To One Direction fans, Tomlinson's love life has been a hot topic of conversation and rumors. Officially, he was in a relationship with student Eleanor Calder for nearly four years, but owing to evidence including sharing an apartment, matching tattoos, and other body language captured on film and in photos, a subsection of superfans believe he is secretly dating bandmate Harry Styles, calling the couple "Larry Stylinson."
