Lunte, played by Danish actor Flemming Jensen) was a figure in a Danish TV Christmas calendar series called Nissebanden (The Tomte Gang). 1984 Nissebanden was aired, 1989 Nissebanden in Greenland aired and finally 2003 Nissernes Island which took place on St. Croix ) Virgin Islands, a former danish island until 1917.
Only Lunte appeared in all three series
Holme-Olsrup was the city of the tomtes but the locations where it was filmed was Kaleko Watermill, Tadre Mill and Uummannaq (Greenland).
The songs from the series became very popula, known by young and old. Most popular was their Risengrøds Sang (The Rice Pudding Song).
