Remains of boom defence vessel HMAS Karangi and tugboat Heroic growing mangrove at Homebush Bay, Sydney, Australia, an area originally used for ship-breaking.

HMAS Karangi was built at Cockatoo Docks in 1941. She was present at the Japanese bombing of Darwin in 1942 but suffered no casualties. She was also present in the Monte Bello Islands during the British nuclear tests in 1952. She was decommissioned in 1965, partially dismantled in 1966 and the hulk removed to Homebush Bay where it still lay. Smaller vessel is tugboat Heroic built in the UK in 1909.
